Depression linked to smaller volume in key memory region of older adults
Led by NGP Student Danielle Luu, a study of more than 2,000 cognitively healthy older adults found that depression was associated with structural differences in a specific part of the hippocampus, independent of major Alzheimer’s disease risk factors.
