Researchers receive funding to launch USC’s first clinical study of psilocybin for mental health

The goal of the study, USC’s first-ever clinical study of psychedelic therapy, is to conduct a clinical trial to determine whether the potential benefits of psilocybin therapy for mental well-being and cognitive function can be augmented with mindfulness meditation training. The study will be conducted at the USC Brain and Creativity Institute (BCI) and will include NGP Faculty Assal HabibiJonas Kaplan, and John Monterosso.
